New Creation Church
Our name, "New Creation Church," is first and foremost an identity statement. The Bible teaches us that through faith in Jesus, every Christian, no matter who they are or what they have done, has become a new creation in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). This means that when we meet together for worship, we are literally the "assembly" (i.e. church) of God's coming new creation, on earth. We are citizens of that coming world (Philippians 3:20). Through the Spirit of Jesus, we now breathe its air, march to its drumbeat, and long for the return of the King to make all things new (Revelation 21:5).
Most of our founding members have lived in Granville for many years and share a deep love for their town. Our common desire is for the people of Granville to come to know their king and find eternal life, hope, joy and peace in the rescue from sin and death and hell that he alone can give (John 14:6).
"But our citizenship is in heaven,
and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ ..."
— Philippians 3:20
